Bone & Biscuit is excited to announce the opening of our new store location, Bone & Biscuit Legacy, in Calgary! Read on to learn about the new store owner as she shares her story.
1. When did you open?
July 20th! We will be hosting our big Grand Opening event on Aug 18th with some exciting giveaways and vendors on site. Will even have a cake for the pups made by Barnyard Biscuits!
2. Where are you located?
Located in the beautiful new community of Legacy in SE Calgary. Where there’s plenty of exciting shopping opening up in this area.

5. Who else has been integral to the opening of the new store?
We are a family owned and operated store. My husband Ray, and daughter Caileigh have been crucial in the setting up of the store and extremely supportive of my new adventure.
6. Do you own any cats or dogs?
We own 3 amazing rescue dogs all very different breeds and unique personalities. Hugo, our Shepherd mix, was our first rescue at 12 weeks old. He was found in a dumpster. Sadie, our husky mix, we rescued at about 2 years of age when she turned herself up to a spay/neuter clinic as her leg was severely damaged after being attacked by a pack of dogs. Lily, our pitbull mix, is our most recent rescue and we took her in as a senior that has some pretty significant health issues. She came to us all the way from Cali! We love to help the misfits that may have trouble getting adopted, and we don’t plan to ever stop adopting them, it has been such a rewarding experience.
7. What has inspired your interest in owning a Bone & Biscuit location?
Oh so many reasons, where do I begin! First of all, I have a very strong interest in pet health and want nothing more than to help people have as much time with their pets as possible! Secondly, I can’t wait to spend my work days with animals! And last but not least, I plan to hold adoption events for local rescue groups that I currently volunteer with and give these animals the much-needed exposure they deserve.
8. Hugo, Sadie, and Lily hit the jackpot now that you run a specialty pet supply store! What kind of toy/treat do they currently love?
Our dogs love the bakery at Bone & Biscuit! They are all about the treats and are really loving the choices they have.
9. What is the best advice you could give to new pet owners?
It is so very important to feed your animals the right food. It doesn’t have to be the most expensive option, but it can literally save their lives when they have the proper diet.
